Bastille is quickly becoming an obsession of mine. I just can't get enough of them. Every song I have heard is so great but this one stands out. Maybe it's because I am a hopeless romantic or my literature obsession is showing, but the lyrics of this song is incredibly romantic!"Your body lies upon the sheet,
Of paper and words so sweet.
I can't say the words,
so I wrote you into my verse.
Now you'll live through the ages,
I can feel your pulse in the pages."
There's something charming about verse and prose that is about someone. I can't help but wonder who it was that influenced author's to write something that is so lovely or untouchable. Written word is such a powerful tool. The public and scholars still read literary classics (such as Shakespeare, Jane Austen, the Bible) and analyze the authors influences, motives, personal lives. We have a hunger to know who the muse is and what is the truth for incredible classics.
To have someone write down a piece of verse/prose about you is one of the most romantic gestures that could ever happen to you. If it occurs and everything is grammatically correct along with spell checked, you should probably fall in love with that person. Or not if the circumstances is weird like it's some random stalker proclaiming undying love with a poem. At that point you should begin to fill out a restraining order.
